The Committee proposes the following Changes, amendments and additions to the Club Rules.
The first three of these are to stop us being used as a dumping ground for “abandoned” boats! The last three are updates to keep us up to date with current legislation/times.
Rule 4. Paragraph 1 Addition: Any new member must include a photo of their boat, on the membership application form.
* After; “of passport size, (or larger)”, - add, “an acceptable size photograph of their boat, (if appropriate)”,
Rule 25. (2) Addition: Any member wishing to bring a boat into the Compound or Canal must provide the Bosun with an acceptable photograph of the boat.
* After; “to be made in writing to the Bosun”, - add, “with an acceptable photograph of the boat”.
Rule 25. (3), addition of subrule (d):
* (d) Any member wishing to bring a boat into the compound or Canal, must pay a deposit of £300. This will be refundable on vacating the Compound or Canal, providing all other fee’s have been paid up to date.
(This amount is at the discretion of, and fixed annually by, the Committee & approved at the A.G.M).
To include Email, where appropriate, as a recognised form of notification.
Rule 8a, paragraph 2, addition to include Email as well as letter, for all notifications.

Rule 22, paragraph 3 * after “writing” -add, “or Email”
Sentence after Rule 25. (5), * after “writing, - add, “or Email”.

Rule 18. POWER TO BORROW MONEY
Second Paragraph, first sentence. Change the amount of lottery win to £250,000
* “If the Association won the Lottery, anything up to £250,000, the Club would keep to finance the projects that would improve the Club and benefit all members”.
No Smoking - Addition to Rule 20, paragraph 5. New sentence added:
* Any member repeatedly breaking this rule, will be expelled.
